With the models in the V20 and GW20 series, Panasonic presents its first second NeoPDP generation plasma televisions, which should revolutionise the TV experience and set new standards with an attractive design and innovative technology. The High Contrast Filter, which is being used for the first time, the 600 Hz sfd Intelligent Frame Creation Pro and the enhanced V-real PRO 5 signal processing ensure bright, sharp, richly contrasting images. The integrated HD multi-tuner, together with the CI Plus port, stands for flexibility and thanks to Internet and network connections, the new NeoPDPs will enthuse users with a great range of functions.

With the V20 and GW20 series, Panasonic is now presenting the latest models in the second NeoPDP generation. The ultra-slim V20 series in a timeless titan metallic design and the elegant GW20 plasma models in piano-lacquer black set new standards in terms of image quality, which has been further perfected through more powerful and more frugal processors. The new NeoPDP Full HD panel models are distinguished by increased brightness, improved display of motion and high energy efficiency.

The new NEoPDP models are equipped for any receiver situation with their integrated HD multituner for DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T, which integrates all the functions of a high-quality set top box. An external box for HDTV reception is therefore no longer necessary. In addition, the CI Plus port allows Pay-TV programmes to be received and is compatible with the HD+ HD programme package.

In order to further improve the outstanding image quality of the NeoPDP models, the models can be calibrated perfectly thanks to isf mode, in order to adjust the image strictly according to the video standard and adjust it to the light in the surroundings. Together with the RS-232 port included in the V20 series, professional adjustment and control options can be realised.

The speaker systems have been improved further compared to the previous models for a voluminous, clear sound. Thus, V-Audio ProSurround and the integrated 30-watt subwoofer in the V20 series and V-Audio Surround Sound with 20 watts music performance in the GW20 series ensure a harmonic interaction between image and sound.

The V20 series is available in titanium metallic look with screen sizes of 127 cm/50 inches (TX-P50V20E) an 106 cm/42 inches (TX-P42V20E) from June 2010. The GW20 models will be available from March 2010 in sizes of 127 cm/50 inches (TX-P50GW20, RRP 1,599 EUR), 116 cm/46 inch (TX-P46GW20, RRP 1,399 EUR) and 106 cm/42 inch (TX-P42GW20, RRP 1,099 EUR) in black piano lacquer.
