Last week, Samsung Korea presented a new 3D-enabled 240 Hertz LCD panel. The high refresh rate should be able to provide each eye with video images of up to 120 Hertz and thereby ensure more flied and especially sharper display of three-dimensional image content. In addition, it has been possible to reduce the response time of the panel to an impressive four milliseconds.

The first TV sets with Samsung’s latest panel should soon be available in South Korea in sizes of 40, 46 and 55 inches. However, no precise supply date or price has been provided. As with all 3D-enabled TVs, however, shutter glasses are needed for three-dimensional image display.
