In an approach to reposition, the South Korean display specialist HYUNDAI IT Europe GmbH is focussing on solutions for public display/digital signage, touch screen and 3D in the future. At the same time, the company stops the distribution for conventional PC monitors in Europe. According to the company, this does not affect service and warranty services, which are fully respected in accordance with the warranty period.
The exit from the monitor segment marks the end of a 25-year tradition, according to Bernd Hoffmann, head of sales of the D-A-CH region with HYUNDAI IT. Though the decision to realign was influenced by the price, margin and competitive situation, the product range was expanded with professional large format displays already in 2007.

Among more than 70 different public display solutions, HYUNDAI IT offers screens of up to 82 inches with metal housing and optional safety glass or touch screen, as well as displays with ultra-thin bezel and built-in video wall function and window displays for bright locations. For outdoor use, weather resistant columns with heating and cooling system are offered, whereas indoor columns (with optional touch screen) are suitable for kiosk applications. On a project basis, HYUNDAI IT also develops customized display solutions.
