Saving power can be so easy: The new LED monitors of Samsung's 40 series consume up to 40 per cent less energy than conventional monitors. At the same time, they are said to provide better image quality with rich and natural colours. Furthermore, highest ergonomic standards allow users to work efficiently in front of the screen for a long time.

With the SyncMaster monitors BX2240 LED, BX2240W LED and BX2440 LED, Samsung introduces a whole set of classic office monitors, which provide modern LED technology. Thanks to the innovative LED technics, the monitors have brilliant colours and crystal-clear details. Photos appear realistic and full of details. With the ultra-high dynamic contrast of 5,000,000:1 and a response time of only five milliseconds, the monitors are capable of the playback of moving pictures in a razor-sharp manner.
With their Full HD panel (1,920 to 1,080 pixels), the SyncMaster BX2240 LED and SyncMaster BX2440 LED monitors are able to display finest details. Just like the 16:10 version SyncMaster BX2240W with a resolution of 1,680 to 1,050 pixels, they offer a huge virtual desktop space. Featuring pivot, swivel and tilt function, their height-adjustable foot makes it more simple to optimally set up the monitors on the desktop.

Due to the MagicEco function, employees are able to save power from now on: At the push of a button, they can adjust the monitor's brightness according to the amount of energy they want to save – 100, 75 or 50 per cent. Via the off-timer, the can set a fix point of time, at which the monitor automatically switches to standby mode, a measure which additionally saves energy. Furthermore, all models of the 40 series feature a mechanic on-off switch, that completely disconnects the monitor from the electric power supply. This helps saving energy and increases the monitor's lifespan as well.
With immediate effect, the SyncMaster BX2240 LED is available at retail stores at a price of 249 Euros. The 24-inch version SyncMaster BX2440 LED, which also is available, can be purchased for 299 Euros. The SyncMaster BX2240W LED will be delivered from the end of June on, costing 229 Euros.
